1. Starting a Dispute
Either party may open a dispute for equipment damage, missing equipment, late return, payment issues, or listing inaccuracies, and upload photos, videos, documents, messages, and repair estimates.
2. The Process
The other party is notified and given a window to respond. S.H.E.D. reviews the evidence from both sides and records a resolution.
3. Outcomes
Possible outcomes include no action required, partial payment, full payment, refund issued, account warning, or account restriction. Outcomes are recorded in the dispute history.
4. Deposit Resolution
Where damage is documented, S.H.E.D. may capture part or all of the security deposit to compensate the owner. Undisputed deposits are released automatically.
