Renter Agreement
Your responsibilities when renting equipment.
1. Responsible Use
You agree to use rented equipment responsibly, follow all manufacturer instructions, follow the owner's safety guidance, and operate equipment only if you are qualified and authorized to do so.
2. On-Time Return
You agree to return the equipment on or before the agreed end date at the agreed location. Late returns may incur additional charges and impact your rating.
3. Damage Reporting
You agree to report any damage, loss, or malfunction to the owner and S.H.E.D. immediately upon discovery, and within the return inspection window at the latest.
4. Liability for Misuse
You accept responsibility for damage, loss, or injury resulting from your misuse or negligence. S.H.E.D. may capture part or all of your security deposit to compensate the owner for documented damage.
5. Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit is charged at checkout. It is fully refunded when the owner confirms the return, or after a defined window if there is no dispute.
