1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using S.H.E.D. ("we", "us", "the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Platform. S.H.E.D. is a marketplace that connects independent equipment owners with renters. We do not own, rent, or operate the equipment listed on the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use S.H.E.D. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure.

3. Marketplace Role

S.H.E.D. acts solely as an intermediary. Equipment listings are provided by independent owners. Owners are responsible for the condition and legality of their equipment. Renters enter rental agreements directly with equipment owners; S.H.E.D. facilitates the transaction, payment processing, and dispute resolution but is not a party to the rental itself.

4. Accounts & Registration

Renting or listing equipment requires a registered account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. Providing false information may result in account suspension.

5. Fees

S.H.E.D. charges renters a service fee and owners a 10% S.H.E.D. Marketplace Fee on completed transactions. Current rates are disclosed at checkout and in your listing dashboard. We may adjust fees with notice; existing confirmed bookings are not affected.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not list prohibited equipment, misrepresent the condition of an item, use the Platform to conduct illegal activity, circumvent our payment system, harass other users, or create fraudulent accounts. Violations may result in account termination and forfeiture of deposits.

7. Limitation of Liability

S.H.E.D. provides the Platform on an "as-is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the conduct of users, the condition of equipment, or losses arising from rentals. Our liability is capped at the service fees collected on the relevant transaction.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time and will post the new version with an updated date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
